Iran drawn with Russia at FIVB Olympic Qualification

TEHRAN – Iran learned their opponents at the 2019 FIVB Men's Volleyball Intercontinental Olympic Qualification Tournament.
Team Melli have been drawn in Pool E along with Russia, Cuba and Mexico.
Pool A consists of Brazil, Bulgaria, Egypt and Puerto Rico.
Belgium, The Netherlands, South Korea and the U.S. are in Pool B and Australia, Cameroon, Italy and Serbia are drawn in Pool C.
Powerhouses France and Poland are joined by Slovenia and Tunisia in Pool D and Argentina, Canada, China and Finland have been drawn in Pool F.
The matches are scheduled to be played from Aug. 9 to 11 but the venue has yet to be announced.
The FIVB Olympic Qualification will be the first edition of the FIVB Men's Volleyball Intercontinental Olympic Qualification Tournament, the quadrennial international men's volleyball tournament organized by Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) to determine which men's national teams from top 24 teams qualify for the Olympic volleyball tournament.
